Rediscover what you love. Cognitive behavioral therapy, or CBT, is a short-term therapy technique that can help people find new ways to behave by changing their thought patterns.
According to scientific research studies, CBT is as effective in the treatment of depression as antidepressants.

How to stop overthinking

Overthinking is exhausting. I know the feeling, and it’s energy-draining. In fact, studies have shown that overthinking elevates your stress levels, reduces your creativity, clouds your judgment and strips you of your power to make decisions. So, first:

Change The Story You Tell Yourself...


I always used to say out loud: “I can never be on time. I’m not a morning person. I can’t commit to anything.” Well , guess what? I was never on time to meetings, I was always grumpy in the mornings and I couldn’t commit to anything — a job, a relationship or a side project.

That’s because we are the stories we tell ourselves.


What you repeatedly say to yourself — and how you repeatedly describe yourself — is what you come to believe and be. Everything we do and experience stems from our identity and underlying set of beliefs.


Instead, do this:

Identify those limiting beliefs and make it a conscious effort to stop yourself whenever you catch yourself voicing them. Immediately replace those negative narratives with positive, empowering thoughts: “I am in charge of my emotions”, “I think clearly” and, “I’m a decision-maker.”

We all know how easy it is to get distracted by social media and other websites — which is exactly where this useful app comes in. Freedom provides a way for you to block distracting and time-wasting websites and apps for a set time period.

 

    - Habitica

A fun role-playing game! Like Forest, it uses gamification to help boost productivity and foster good habits in your daily life. After inputting your daily goals and desired habits, the app allows you to create a custom avatar; then, as you complete your tasks, you can "level up" your avatar and unlock cool features (including armor, pets, and quests!).

 

Headspace

How long have you been wanting to start meditating for at least 10 minutes a day? This app will help you finally reach your goal of obtaining inner peace. A smartphone and headphones are all you need. Meditate before bedtime and even on the go. Headspace guides you through cartoons, videos, and audio. It's highly recommended!
